Sinevibes goes Linux, a big step for the best-known plugin developer, and an update for the Integer delay plugin marks the beginning.
More Sinevibes plugins are available now with Linux support: Albedo, Blend v2, Droplet v2, Hollow, Luminance v2, Vague, Whirl v2, Corrosion v2, Dipole v2, Dispersion v2, Eternal v2, Rerun v2, Skew, Stator, and Switch v3.

Audio plugins are usually available for MacOS and Windows, the most widely used operating systems in music production. Users working with Linux often face a significantly reduced number of plugins. But this has noticeably improved in recent years.
Bitwig Studio is a major brand DAW with Linux support, but developers have also gone the penguin route, including AudioThing and Audio Damage. Improved Linux-porting tools like the Juice framework, is one of the reasons why we see more and more plugins. And today, Sinevibes has also moved onto Linux.
Sinevibes Goes Linux
The first Linux plugin from Sinevibes is now available. The new update for its creative Integer digital-analog buffer device/delay plugin now supports the “Penguin” operating system in VST3 format.
So, Linux users will soon benefit from many new excellent effects plugins. According to Sinevibes, the updates will come step by step. This update marks the beginning of many more releases.
At the moment, Sinevibes only offers plugins with VST3 support. If LV2 support were added, it would be very exciting, not just for the software but also for the hardware.
There is a lot of Linux-based hardware on which you can load plugins: Zynthian, Percussa Super Signal Processor, and more. This way, you could turn the Sinevibes plugins into hardware effects.
That would be super hot. Either way, it’s very welcome to see that Sinevibes plugins now have Linux support.
Sinevibes will update the plugins with Linux support step by step. The new Integer version is now available as a free update for existing users.

Yay!!!! Great to see more support. Arturia said in their forums that we might see Linux support in the future. They asked users some generic questions about platforms. It would be awesome if they did. Some of the hurdles in Linux are starting to go away with more distro’s adding realtime kernel support out of the box for desktop and including pipwire & wireplumber as default for audio and media. Ubuntu 24.04 will have both and that’s being released this month while I think Arch is already there. Great news all around.

Let’s not to forget mentioning CLAP (clever audio plugin) as it has support for all platforms and is opensource with BitWig and U-he being key players. It has some very advanced features.
