NAMM 2026: ESI previewed the Amber 2|4 Pro and Amber 14|14 Pro audio interfaces and a new unnamed desktop mixer.
NAMM 2026 was once again rich in news about audio interfaces and mixers. However, one more piece of news reached me after the official NAMM show ended.
Last year, ESI showcased the Xsynth; this year, they presented two new desktop audio interfaces, the Amber 2|4 Pro and Amber 14|14 Pro, and a still unnamed compact digital mixer.

ESI Amber 2|4 Pro and 14|14 Pro
Two of the three new products are black boxes. These are the new ESI 2|4 Pro and 14|14 Pro audio interfaces. Interestingly, they don’t come in a classic format like the Amber i4, but rather in a new desktop design.
There is no official information about them, but one can recognize and deduce some of their features.
The Amber 2|4 Pro probably has 2 inputs and 4 outputs, while the Amber 14|14 Pro has 14 inputs and 14 outputs. That would be a lot of I/O for such a compact interface, but the information hasn’t been confirmed.
Both interfaces belong to a new series and have the same operating concept. They feature white knobs for the gain of two channels, mix, and two headphone sockets.
Additionally, you have an OLED display (touch not confirmed), a large black encoder, and various buttons.
The display shows the settings for an active channel strip, including built-in functions such as EQ, dynamics, and low-cut. Therefore, we expect both audio interfaces offer a mixing function.

ESI Desktop Mixer
In addition to the new Amber 2|4 and 14|14 Pro interfaces, the German company ESI also presented a new digital mixer. However, it appears to still be a prototype, judging by the front panel.
This strongly reminds me of the Behringer Flow 8 or the Proel DIGIPAD 8, which were also presented at NAMM 2026. There is still no official information on this, but some things can be deduced from the interface as well.
According to the picture, it will feature eight channels, each with a dedicated volume fader. It has four inputs on combo jacks, while the other four have classic 6.3mm sockets. Then, there are two XLR outputs and a headphone socket.
It’s unclear what the other inputs or outputs are. It also has a big orange encoder and various buttons (mute, back) that controls the menu system. If you get closer to the picture, you can also see that it has bluetooth. The remaining features are still unknown.
First Impression
The new ESI interfaces look exciting. I’ll have to wait and see what all the features and prices are like. I like compact interfaces with plenty of I/O as they remain very portable.
As for the new digital mixer, I’ll have to see how it compares to the Flow 8 or Proel. ESI is known for making more affordable products, so I expect it won’t be in the high price range. I hope it doesn’t have motorized faders; that would make the price very attractive.
ESI Amber 2|4 Pro and 14|14 Pro availability and price are TBA.
