Polyend Tracker Mini 1.1, new firmware with better stereo sampling and more

Polyend has just published Tracker Mini 1.1, a new free firmware update that brings stereo line-in recording, extended sampling times, and more.

The Tracker Mini is a Tracker-based portable, battery-powered groovebox with sampling and synthesis. Initially announced at NAMM 2023, it is the further development of the Polish company’s first tracker groovebox from 2020.

With firmware 1.1, a major update that adds functionalities improves the workflow and fixes many bugs is now available.

The new Tracker Mini 1.1 firmware is a free update. It includes many new features, starting with a third page of parameters on the pattern editor. In this section, you can name your patterns and tracks. For me, this function was expected from the beginning, but it’s good that it’s there now.

The stereo-sampling engine got major tweaks, one big difference from the OG Tracker. You can select the line in source for recording in stereo. Very good addition.

Then, the sample loader section now previews your samples from the SD card in stereo and also offers an import mode in stereo. Strangely, this hasn’t been possible before.

A highlight of the firmware 1.1 update is Tracker Mini’s extended sampling time. The sample memory can now hold around 700 seconds in mono and 350 seconds in stereo.

You can also now preview your samples from the SD card on the USB audio master channel, which also offers the metronome signal. According to Polyend, they have also improved the internal clock accuracy and added beta import mod/export, a functionality known from Tracker 1.6.

Further, there are various cosmetic and functional UI improvements and many bug fixes.
