Akai Pro is showing the MPC One at NAMM 2020, a new, more affordable standalone MPC that offers multiple synth engines, 2 GB of sound content and more.

NAMM time is always the time when Akai Pro expands its MPC range. This time not with another high-end model but with a new entry-level version called MPC One. It looks like Akai Pro is going to “attack” Roland with the MC 707 groove box. MPC One is a standalone music production box that doesn’t require any computer.

It’s powered by the powerful multicore system from the MPC Live and MPX. It offers 16 velocity-sensitive RGB pads, a 7” multi-touch display, 2 GB of RAM, 2GB of onboard storage and 2 GB of pre-installed content.
