Christmas is over, and we are rapidly approaching the end of the year. If you still have some budget left over from your Christmas shopping, there is currently a good end-of-the-year deal on two pedals.

Thomann has announced a limited-time sale on the Eventide H9 Max Dark and Blue special editions. The regular price for both editions was around 676€, now you can get them for 489€ each. So a 26% discount. If you take the official RRP, you get a higher discount.

Eventide H9 Max Dark Blue

The H9 Max Dark and Blue are special editions of the popular H9 pedal stereo FX pedal. It’s just the color; everything else is identical on the feature list: stereo inputs/outputs, an effect at the same time, true-analog bypass, MIDI via DIN and USB with full MIDI implementation…

Since this is the Max version, you can unlock all 52 algorithms and 99 presets without paying anything extra. The algorithms range from reverbs, delays, distortions, chorus, and more—classic effects but also more unique, experimental effects like the CrushStation or the resonator.

Full control over your algorithms and parameters offers the Eventide H9 control app for Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows.

Deal?

With the H90, Eventide has launched the successor to the H9. With two slots to load algorithms, more sound design features and more. The H9, on the other hand, only has one FX slot. It has many of the same high-end algorithms.

The downside of the H9 is the operation, which is rather cryptic, but thanks to the app possible to tweak the parameters. For €489, you get a very high-quality FX pedal. For the price, there are many multi-FX pedals with many slots and other features from other companies. However, Eventide’s algorithms play in a different league where many other effect pedals cannot keep up.

For me, at least, it’s more important to have quality algorithms than quantity or more slots.

Eventide H9 Max Dark and Blue are available now for 489€ instead of 676€ at Thomann for a limited time.
