At the beginning of 2023, Polyverse Music released Modal, a powerful filter plugin that goes far beyond what classic filters can do. With the Filtron, the filter journey goes into the second round.
Filtron is a more classic filter plugin but with some unique coloring options. Best of all, it’s a free plugin.
Polyverse Filtron
Polyverse latest plugin Filtron is a 12dB state variable filter that can smoothly transition between lowpass, bandpass, and highpass. If you raise the resonance level to 1o or a maximum of 11, it starts self-oscillating.
Filtron also features a fat-sounding internal saturation algorithm and a sizzly post-overdrive with cold and hot modes for colorizing the filter timbre. Then, it supports modulation and can be modulation via sidechain or by modulators such as Gatekeeper for example.
Each channel in a stereo pair is treated as a separate modulation source and can be split to stereo. Plus, it is also optimized for audio rate modulation.
