IK Multimedia has launched its Krazy Instruments Deals, where you get various plugins for $69,99/79,99€ including SampleTank 4 and Syntronik 2 MAX v2.
In the summer months, things get quieter in the music tech world. Many YouTube channels are taking a break, many watchers are going on vacation, etc. People are more outside and less in their studio or front of their computers.
Developers are also noticing this through the decline in sales. To capture this event, many manufacturers are currently doing summer sales. For example, IK Multimedia has the Krazy Instruments Deals, where you get their flagship plugins for just $69,99/79,99€.

Syntronik 2 MAX v2 For 79€ (incl. VAT)
I particularly like the deal on the Syntronik 2 Max v2. This is IK Multmedia’s first real step into the world of software synths. For €79,99 you get a lot on offer. Syntronik Max v2 is not a classic Synthesizer or an emulation of a specific synth. IK has decided to go a multi-sample route.
The Syntronik core is a 4-part multi-layer instrument that uses two multi-sample-based oscillators. For this, IK has multi-sampled a collection of 55 iconic hardware synthesizers and string machines. You can mix and match the oscillators as you want.
Then, it goes in a multimode filter with four classic types of circuit-modeled filters for shaping your sounds. A drift technology also creates subtle oscillator variations for adding realism to your sounds.
Besides the filters, you can also refine your sounds with a massive amount of effects. It hosts 71 high-quality effects (distortions, EQs, delays, reverbs…) derived from T-RackS, MixBox, and AmpliTube. For rhythmic sounds, it also features four dynamic arpeggiators and an advanced step sequencer.
Syntronik 2 MAX v2 gives a total of 200 GB of synth sounds with disk streaming capabilities and over 5000 ready-to-use presets. If you want to build sounds from scratch, Syntronik is less of a thing for you. The instrument is particularly suitable for musicians who want to have very solid sounds quickly and without much effort. Without the depth that a Serum, Omnisphere 2, etc. has. But bread and butter-style sounds with the possibility to customize them.
IK Multmedia’s registration system is still a bit cumbersome. But the new manager has improved her a lot. The expiring downloads after 6 months remains a point of criticism. Therefore, make a copy on a hard drive so that the content is always there in case of a new installation. But for 79€, you get here a great virtual instrumen with tons of sounds.
I linked two sound videos where I explored some Syntronik 1 libraries. Importantly, back then, the sounds were even less customizable. With the release of Syntronik 2, IK opened the plugin more and gave users more sound design options.
IK Multimedia Krazy Instruments Deals will be available for $69,99/79,99€ until June 30th, 2023. The instruments run as a VST, VST3, AU, and AAX plugin on macOS (Intel + native Apple Silicon) and Windows.
