Tobias and Chelsea, aka Chompi Club, the creators of the Chompi Club hardware sampler, are joining the pedal company Chase Bliss.
Almost two years ago, Chompi Club launched a Kickstarter campaign for its hardware sampler, Chompi, which went viral. This raised over $1 million for the young company and helped it achieve a big success—a usually high contribution for a niche music tech device.
Shipping followed at the end of December 2023 with firmware updates over the next few months. At Superbooth 2024, they unveiled the Treasure Island edition in collaboration with highly respected pedal developer Chase Bliss.

The founders, Tobias and Chelsea, are strengthening this partnership by joining Chase Bliss. How deep this partnership goes is unknown, as is whether Chase Bliss has acquired the Chompi Club company. What is certain is that there will be no changes for now.
Chompi Club will handle all support (questions, repairs, etc.). The Discord is still active, and they are continuing to develop the hardware further. Joel Korte of Chase Bliss promises that this isn’t the company’s end and that they are doing it together now in Minneapolis.
Good news for all those waiting for a Chompi sampler. They are working on another run for later this year, and there will be cute firmware surprises for new and existing customers. These will be sold through their own website (EU/US) like any other Chase Bliss device. So you can get a Chompi without the hassle of import fees.
However, there will be changes. Once the final run of Chompi goes up for sale, Chase Bliss will take over the device’s support. This means Chompi owners will now have international support, and it will be faster and easier than ever to get help. This will apply to all existing and future CHOMPI owners.

This is an interesting move by the two Chompi Club founders. I’m excited about the upcoming new firmware updates. Chase Bliss is known for its sophisticated effect pedals and playful sound design-focused algorithms. I hope the Chompi sampler gets some of these lovely Chase Bliss ingredients too.
