Timeless has now received a major makeover in the third version with new features & improvements.
Fabfilter Timeless 3
Timeless 3 continues the new eye-catching interface design from FabFilter. It’s sleek, modern, and easy to use, day and night to the previous version. The core of the plugin remains the same in many points but has tons of new features and improvements to look forward to. FabFilter’s great-sounding vintage tape delay emulation can now create rhythmic multi-tap delays with up to 16 taps. You can control and animate each tap individually with different modulators. It also includes new ping-pong modes, and improved feedback, cross-feedback, and freeze features.
The modulation engine is much nicer and simpler and can now do even more. This was already in Timeless 2 a big highlight and now the developers raised it to another level. It hosts new modulators like 16-step XLFOs, envelope generators with curve control, envelope followers, XY controllers, and MIDI sources. They can be easily mapped using drag and drop. With these, you can achieve a wide range of delay timbres including classic ducking, wow & flutter effects up to crazy modulations. It also comes with a new real-time visualization system for modulation which makes it easier to understand the mod routings.
New Effects
FabFilter Timeless 3 also has numerous feedback effects that have also been expanded in the new version. Drive, lo-fi, diffuse, dynamics, and pitch effects and new filter types (bell, shelving, notch) give you many new shaping options.
FabFilter plugins inspire many musicians with their complex engines and brilliant sounds. Timeless 2 was a must-have in many studios. I’m sure Timeless 3 will become yet another big success. The new fresh interface and the small but nice new features can make it a timeless delay plugin

I’ll certainly upgrade to 3 soon, one cannot really go wrong with fabfilter plug-ins -top quality. I’d very much like to see them give Twin 2 a bit of love and upgrade that to version 3.
