Tritik introduces Irid, a new flexible shimmer reverb plugin for PC & Mac (VST/AU/AAX) that offers three tuneable reverb voices perfect for lush soundscapes.
The shimmer reverb market is richer with a new plugin. Tritik, known for cleverly designed and feature-rich plugins has released Irid, a unique reverb plugin for PC & Mac. Like its competitors, Irid also uses a pitch-shifting reverberation algorithm plus three independently tunable reverb voices. Two of these are pitch shifters with a range of -1 octave to +2 octaves, the third is, however, a frequency shifter ranging from -100 Hz to +2000 Hz.
Each voice features an output level control and a ‘reverse’ option for expanding the timbral possibilities by time-reversing the sound grains. With this, you have deeper controls what happens in the pitch-shifting section.
The plugin comes with global size, diffusion, width, and feedback controls as well as a pre-delay section with tempo sync. There’s also modulation for adding some movements and flexibility to the reverbs. Additionally, you can shape the sound using low cut & high cut filters and with a dry/wet balance.
It is capable of creating a wide range of sounds: shimmering ambiances, resplendent textures, otherwordly reverbs, and more. A perfect plugin for ambient sounds and drones especially with the additional freeze function. It comes with 80 ready-to-use presets designed by professional sound designers: Richard Devine, emptyVessel, Andrew Madden, and Trikit.
Tritik Irid (VST/VST3/AU/AAX) is available now from the developer’s site for an introductory price of 29€ until July 31, 2020. The regular price will be 49€.
