Rob Papen ‘s best-known Quad Phase Distortion / Waveshaper Synthesizer Rack Extension is now available as a VST / AU / AAX plugin
Rob Papen today released Quad, a port of the well-known Synthesizer for Reason Rack Extension. It features two powerful oscillators that are based on phase distortion & waveshaper synthesis. They include many waveforms: sine, square, saw, triangle, noise, and pink noise, plus many other additive and spectral waves. Quad has a number of different modulation types that allow oscillator 1 to influence oscillator 2 and vice versa, the type and various parameters of these parts can be altered using the modulation type and amount 1 and 2 controls.
It includes ring mod, phase mod, freq mod, and many other routing options. Both oscillators then go into two versatile analog-modeled filters, in an amp, and in the end in two multi-effects processors. The sonic palette is huge, through the vast modulation possibilities that QUAD has to offer.
On the modulation side, it offers three envelopes, two LFOs, and other modulators. These tools are brought to life by 2 XY-Pads in each Oscillator, which can be moved through an extensive modulation matrix. The synth also includes a built-in arpeggiator but no sequencer. Quad includes over 750 professional designed presets.
Rob Papen Quad is available now for the introductory price of $79 USD /79€ until June 1st, 2020 (regular $99 USD/99€).
