With Analog Dreams, Native Instruments is giving away a virtual instrument that allows musicians to stay creative in isolation
COVID-19 virus and the resulting pandemic forces us, musicians, to stay at home for a while. In this difficult time, there are no concerts, meetings with friends, etc. But as you have heard here, there are many music tech companies that support us through this time. Same for Native Instruments who want to support the community, and help people at home to be creative.
Native Instruments is giving away the Kontakt Play Series instrument, Analog Dreams (reg. sold for $49) for the next two weeks. It features 3.6 GB of sounds from vintage synths from the past. Thanks, NI for the nice gesture!
Overview
Analog Dreams features sample-based analog sounds from vintage synths of the ’70s, ’80s, and beyond. The samples (3.6 GB) are built into an easy-to-use Kontakt 6 (Player) engine that has a simple idea: take one or two timbres from the 150 available sounds and build your own presets. The engine allows you to blend between two samples (A/B) with which you can create new sounds in seconds.
Further, you can manipulate these sounds with additional parameters like an A/R envelope, filter or effects. If you want to compose immediately without designing your own sounds, the library features 100 ready-to-use presets ranging from bass, fx, leads, pads and plucked. Native Instruments is giving away one of the simplest virtual instruments you can find on the market.
Statement Of Native Executives Daniel Haver & Mate Galic
These are challenging times for the global music community. Cancellations, closures, and city lockdowns have hit artists and DJs particularly hard, with many people facing long periods of isolation. We are looking at ways we can support, and we encourage you to make the most of this time to connect with each other, learn new skills, and explore new sounds. That’s why we’re making ANALOG DREAMS free until the end of March: A small gift to keep you inspired during all the extra home studio time. Stay safe, look out for each other, and keep on creating.
Native Instruments Analog Dreams is available now as a free download ($49 regular) until March 31st, 2020. It requires the free Kontakt 6 Player and is already part of Kontakt 6.
