KORG Volca Modular & Volca Drum Synthesizer: are these the news from KORG for the upcoming NAMM Show 2019 in Anaheim (LA)?

In one month the NAMM Show 2019 will start in Anaheim (LA) with certainly Synthesizer news. As every year, however, the speculations begin before. A few hours ago, pictures appeared on forums showing two new KORG Volca’s: a Volca Modular and a Volca Drum.

The Volca Modular should be a small modular (analog or digital) Synthesizer that incorporates some West Coast synthesis ideas. It is reminiscent of the Make Noise 0-Cost, but uses very small cables like the Bastl Instruments Kastle and with the KORG design language. True or not, it’s looks very interesting and of course, it incorporate the classic Volca sequencer on the bottom.

The Volca Drum should be a digital percussive Synthesizer that even has a screen. Again, there are ideas from the West Coast synthesis (Wave Guide …) and the well-known sequencer.

Whether these two Korg Volcas are real or not, I do not know. If they are true, these would be nice new addition to the actual Volca lineup. If they are wrong, we can congratulate the forger for his good work. They look damn good in my opinion. What is your opinion? Let me know!
