There Is Hope! BandLab Technologies Acquires Cakewalk Inc. Assets!

I’m sure you’ve heard that Gibson is in financial trouble. So recently was the activity of Cakewalk completely stopped and paying customers get no updates for Sonar etc. Good news coming today from Gibson. BandLab Technologies, a young company known for music making over internet, has announced the acquisition of certain assets and the entire intellectual property of Cakewalk Inc.

The company explained that they aim is not only to continuing the legacy of Cakewalk’s products like Sonar, Rapture or Z3TA+2 Synthesizer but also to enhance the existing with new creative tools. Looking forward what BandLab will make with the Cakewalk products. Will we see Sonar for macOS, updates for Z3TA+2 Synthesizer on iOS or even new products. It will be interesting to see the future o Cakewalk.
