Sinevibes Cache is a new hardware plugin for the new Korg NTS-3 Kaoss Pad. It features four real-time buffer-based audio manglers/effects.
After a long wait, Korg released the NTS-3 in September. It is a multi-FX processor with interchangeable effects algorithms based on the Korg SDK. The official release also marked the start of many new third-party effects.
Sinevibes was there from day 1 and has provided many previous multi-engine effects for the small Kaoss Pad. With Cache, Sinevibes is now showing algorithms that were developed exclusively for the NTS-3 for the first time.
Sinevibes Cache
Cache is a new Korg FX plugin explicitly designed for the new Korg NTS-3 Kaoss Pad. The new Sinevibes release focuses on real-time buffer-based effects. There is not a single, but you get four separate effects, each with tempo sync and playable with four zones on the XY pad.
Sinevibes Cache’s core records the incoming audio (32-bit stereo) into a buffer (up to 4 seconds) and immediately manipulates it in real time. Six algorithms cover many buffer effects: looper, repeater, stutter-style robotizer, ping-pong reverser, classic granular time stretching, or tape/vinyl stopper.
To ensure smooth operation and sound, Sinevibes uses high-quality playback interpolations, multiple fine-tuned envelopes, and soft switching. Thus, you can use them as a sound design tool and creative element in your next performances.
First Impression
At first glance, these are excellent new effects for the Korg NTS-3. It is logical that effects are developed that are strongly focused on performance, as this can be done perfectly with the XY pad.
Sinevibes Cache is available now for $29 exclusively for the new Korg NTS-3 Kaoss Pad.

wonder if they’ll put an NTS-3 pad on Prologue II/Epilogue… would be an interesting performance device for a performance synth.
more fine work sinevibes! thanks!
