Universal Audio is giving away its Pure Plate reverb plugin for macOS and Windows as a free holiday download for a limited time.
Christmas is just around the corner, and new gifts from the music tech world are available almost daily. For example, you can get the full version of Synthmaster 2 Player as a free download.
Today, there is one more gift you shouldn’t miss. Universal Audio has announced that they are giving away its Pure Plate Reverb plugin as a free download. This offer is, however, only available until Christmas Eve.
Universal Audio Pure Plate Reverb
Pure Plate Reverb is a vintage-inspired plate reverb plugin that easily adds natural depth and shimmer to vocals and instruments. It offers all the sonic ingredients of an electromechanical plate reverb.
The plugin is small but nice and has some parameters to tweak. It starts with two sliders for the input low cut filter and pre-delay of the reverb. Then, you can adjust the reverb time with two buttons (-/+)
One row below, you can quickly tweak the perfect reverb tone with bass and treble controls. Plus, there is an L/R balance control, a dry/wet mix control, and a wet-only control.
Every part, from the steel plate and dampers to the converter circuit, has been carefully thought out. The result is a rich, flawless reverb that gives voices, synths, guitars and strings depth and characte
The plugin ships with plenty of presets from sound designers and artists, including Patrick Carney (The Black Keys), Richard Chycki (Rush, Dream Theater), Chuck Zwicky (Prince, The Time), and more.
A lovely gift from Universal Audio for Christmas. It’s not the absolute must-have plugin, but hey, it’s a free download and costs regularly 29€.
Universal Audio Pure Plate Reverb is free to download until December 24, 2024. It runs as a VST3, AU, and AAX plugin on macOS (native Apple Silicon + Intel) and Windows. You can also get it as a native UAD plugin or for the Apollo audio interfaces.
You need a free iLok software account or Dongle and the UA Connect software to register the plugin.
