Soundtoys Devil-Loc
The Devil-Loc is a stripped-down version of Soundtoys’ Devil-Loc Deluxe plugin. It’s a creative 2-knob Vaudio enhancer plugin inspired by an old podium mic compressor (Level-Loc) that makes drums sound big.
It has two simple knobs: Crunch is a distortion, and Crush gives you compression. Drop it on a drum kit or loop, and listen as Devil-Loc elevates the room ambience, pumping excitement into an otherwise drab rhythm track.
You can also use it for more extreme sound design tasks to achieve getting or fuzzy effects.
Soundtoys Devil-Lok is available as a free download until December 19, 2025, from the official website, and this also marks the end of the giveaway.

Soundtoys Little Plate
Little Plate is a stripped-down version of the beloved Soundtoys SuperPlate plate reverb plugin for macOS and Windows. Unlike the larger version, it only includes a single-plate algorithm.
The legendary EMT 140 plate reverb inspires it, but Soundtoys has taken it further. For example, you can put it in the original five seconds of reverberation time, but you can also go as high as 32, and even to infinity
Little Plate has an infinite time setting, with which the reverb tails never fade away. Also onboard is a handy low-cut control to tame the boomy bass frequencies that reverb often creates.
Another addition is the mod switch, which adds subtle chaotic modulation to the reverb tail, resulting in a thicker, smoother sound. Not a pro, no problem. It also ships with 25 presets that help you take your first steps in vintage reverberation techniques.
In addition to the EchoBoy Jr., this is undoubtedly one of the Soundtoys highlights of the holiday giveaway and one of my favorites.

Soundtoys Little MicroShift
Little MicroShift is a stripped-down version of the Soundtoys MicroShift plugin for macOS and Windows. Like a bigger version, it is inspired by the best-known hardware pitch shifters like the Eventide H3000 and the AMS DMX 15-80s.
There are three flavors of a classic stereo widening trick, all at the push of a button, and it features a dry/wet mix. It’s a straightforward plugin that has a lovely impact on your sounds and tracks.
Little MicroShift works well as a widening tool on synths, lead guitars, vocals, and more to make them sound bigger.

Soundtoys Little Radiator
Little Radiator is a tube pre-amp plugin modeled after the Altec 1566, straight out of the Motown Era. Little Radiator drives and breaks up in exciting ways, creating rich harmonic distortion, exactly like the 1566A.
It has two simple controls: heat and mix. Flip the bias switch for choppy, Lo-Fi sounds and add some line noise for a subtle, authentic feel. It’s a great tool for fattening up bass, guitar, drums, vocals, or even synths.

We’ve reached day three of the Twelve Days of Soundtoys holiday giveaway. As a reminder, there’s a free plugin every other day.
This time, you can grab the Soundtoys EchoBoy Jr. plugin for free. This is usually only available as part of the Soundtoys 5.5 bundle, but now everyone can get it for their DAW.
EchoBoy Jr
The EchoBoy Jr. is the stripped-down version of the popular EchoBoy analog-style echo processor plugin. It features seven analog echo device character emulations in one easy-to-use plugin.
There is a wide range of characters available to explore: studio tape, plex, space, cheap tape, memory, ambient, and transmitter. Each mode can be fine-tuned with low- and high-cut filters.
The left side of the EchoBoy Jr. gives you complete control over the echo processor. You have your usual controls, including dry/wet mix, echo time, and feedback.
Control echo time in musical units like ¼ note, ½ note, dotted, triplet. You can synchronize it at any time conveniently to the host session tempo. Or go old-school vintage and set times in milliseconds.
Crank up the feedback knob, and it produces the lovely self-oscillation we all love from hardware devices, perfect for trippy sci-fi takeoffs and landings effects.
Additionally, you can explore three operation modes (normal, wide, and ping-pong), giving you different echo types.
A lovely feature of the Soundtoys EchoBoy Jr is the pitch glide. Once activated, the echo time slides from one time division to the next rather than switching abruptly. You can also use it for time-stretching effects.
If your echo sounds need more analog-style flavor, there is a built-in saturation stage you can mix into the signal path.
