NAMM 2026: Studio Logic X Piano GTSE is a new special edition with more memory and the new firmware 3.0 with the TrS2 engine.
The NAMM show is very often the showcase for new stage-focused keyboards. This year is no exception. With the Nord Electro 7 and the Viscount Legend 70s MKII, we already have two products from this category at NAMM 2026. Now another Italian company is following suit.
Studiologic, the FATAR-owned keyboard brand, has unveiled the Numa X Piano GTse as well as the new firmware 3.0 for the Numa X GT series.
Studio Logic Numa X Piano GTSE
The new Numa X Piano GTSE is a new special edition of the regular Studio Logic Numa X Piano GT.
According to the developers, it features an exclusive warm-metallic finish made from premium materials and boasts an expanded sample memory of 4GB instead of 2GB.
Like the regular version, it uses a TP/400 wood keybed that combines graded hammer action, ivory feel, escapement, and aftertouch with high definition velocity.
Every nuance of your touch is captured with precision, translating physical gestures into musical detail across the entire dynamic range, the developers say.
The new Special Edition ships with the all-new firmware 3.0, which premieres at NAMM 2026 this week and adds major new features. Alongside the SE, the regular Studio Logic Numa X Piano GT also gets this firmware.
Firmware 3.0: TrS2 Engine
The new Numa X Piano GT SE also introduces firmware 3.0 with the new TrS2 engine, featuring three distinct, refined sound engines.
Each sound engine benefits from higher-resolution processing, improved dynamic response, and deeper expressive control. A single engine that brings every sound to life—naturally, dynamically, and with greater musical depth.
First, it comes with an acoustic modeling engine that provides enhanced physical modeling for more realistic, dynamic piano sounds.
It ships with new acoustic piano samples, and you can now control the release behaviour of the piano, allowing you to shape how the notes fade and interact with the soundboard.
Then, it introduces a new Electric Modeling 2 engine that delivers a new level of authenticity to electric piano sounds.
It combines advanced modeling techniques with refined dynamic behaviour. It also introduces a new amp simulation that adds depth, warmth, and personality to your sounds. Also part of it are new Tine sounds and an all-new graphic interface.
A highlight of the new TrS2 engine is the new synth engine, featuring a powerful virtual-oscillator architecture capable of generating classic and complex analog waveforms.
It comes with new mono and poly modes, new portamento, straccato, and legato modes, and enhanced real-time sound control.
Further, the TrS2 engine includes new Chorale and Symphonic effects, allowing you to create rich textures, cinematic atmospheres, and immersive soundscapes.
First Impression
A great evolution of the Studiologic Numa X Piano GT and its engine. However, the color choice for the SE series is somewhat daring. It’s an acquired taste.
Studiologic Numa X Piano GT SE will be showcased at NAMM 2026. Availability and price TBA. Firmware 3.0 will be available soon.
