NAMM 2026: Soundtoys has unveiled Space Blender 2, a further development of its “Imaginary Space Machine” reverb plugin.

Last year, Soundtoys showcased the Space Blender at NAMM 2025, an innovative algorithmic reverb plugin inspired by swarm synthesis. It allows you to create, shape, and manipulate “imaginary” or nonphysical spaces.

Surprisingly, Soundtoys made this plugin available for free during its launch, allowing everyone to try it out. It now costs $99. And it seems the journey continues.

At NAMM 2026, Soundtoys showcased Space Blender 2, the next version of its original reverb plugin.

Soundtoys has posted a short Instagram video showing the musician “Walker” jamming with his guitar and the new plugin. They write:

SpaceBlender 2??!! Listen as Walker plays guitar through the new, work-in-progress version of our imaginary space machine.

Space Blender 2 is in development, that much is certain. Soundtoys hasn’t yet revealed what it will include or how it will differ from the first version. Perhaps there will be a demo on YouTube from NAMM 2026. Today is the last day, after all.

It’s also important to know whether the plugin will be a free update or a paid upgrade. Many questions, but no answers. But there’s sound, and that sounds really great.
