With the Hydrasynth, the newcomer company ASM (Ashun Sound Machines) caused a big surprise at almost the same time last year. A new company, no teaser, leaks, etc. It just came and was there. It’s been up for almost a year now and it’s still a big topic on social media. That means something. Not to forget, ASM constantly updates the Hyrdasynth, already on firmware 1.5. Not because it is unstable or buggy, no the developers are constantly adding other nice features to it.

Now the sound designer and musician Jexus (WC Olo Grab), known from YouTube, has got his hands on the Hydrasynth. The result is: rich, deep, delicious sounds all with a unique sonic character exactly what we know from Jexus Patches.

What is impressive is that he doesn’t use any external FX, all with the Hydrasynth engine:

No talking demo of ASM Hydrasynth part 1 of 2. Sounds & video editing by Jexus-WC Olo Garb. I did not use additional FX in the demo, all the delays, reverbs, flangers, panning, loops and other effects are part of the Hydrasynth engine / mod matrix. I used some EQ though (not enhancing, basically just keeping the middle band under control).

The ASM Hydrasynth Jexus patches are available for 28,90€ via PayPal and include 234 patches (200 original + 34).
