Nakst Integrate is a 4-oscillator two-filter virtual analog Synthesizer plugin for macOS, Linux, and Windows: now available for FREE.

Nakst is no stranger to the Synthesizer plugin world, especially in the free plugin community. This because the developer has already released several free synths such as Regency, ExtraBold, Apricot, and others.

Three years ago he tried his hand at the commercial sector, but recently ended that venture. Nakst’s only commercial synth to date, called Integrate, is now also available as a free download.

Nakst Integrate

Integrate is a virtual analog Synthesizer for macOS, Linux and Windows. Like all Nakst synthesizers, Integrate is also available as AU, CLAP, and FL Studio plugins. However, a downside is there is no VST version.

The virtual analog engine consists of five oscillators, including two OSC blocks each with two oscillators plus a global multi-wave sub oscillator.

They have over 60 waveforms to choose from, and gives you advanced capabilities like FM, RM, sync, and invert or a retrigger option per oscillator. There is also unison per oscillator block on board, making very fat sounds possible.

Don’t miss the second interface page, you can modify the character of the oscillators with various controls. There are various individual controls but also option to switch between a clean and digital oscillator character.

Then, it features two multimode filters with nine modes, self-resonating and flexible routing options, including split, serial, or parallel. To spice up the filters, you can also work with a built-in saturator with 10 algorithms.

Modulation is also on the advanced side. Integrates houses two AHDSR envelopes for the amps, two modulation AD envelopes with tension control, and three polyphonic multi-wave LFOs.

Alongside envelopes, and LFOs, there are also modulators such as mod wheel, velocity, and more. Assignements can be done eighter in the dedicated modulator interfaces or in the modulation matrix.

Effects

To refine your sounds, Nakst Integrate features an impressive multi-FX section with nine algorithms: polyrhythmical delay, reverb, trancegate, parametric EQ, phaser, chorus, multi-algorithm multiband distortion, and compressor

Each effect has a wealth of adjustable parameters. Furthermore, these parameters can be animated using the built-in modulation engine. And an amazing bonus: the effects are also available in a standalone multi-FX plugin with built-in modulation.

Further, it offers a creative arpeggiator with various modes and the ability to retrigger the envelopes.

Nakst Integrate ships with over 250 ready-to-use built-in sounds, ranging from basses, leads, keys, pads, and special effects.

First Impression

I’m happy to see that Nakst has now made the plugin available as a free download. For me, it’s one of the free synthesizer plugin highlights of the year. It’s a great-sounding virtual analog Synthesizer with a huge range of features.

Nakst Integrate is available now for FREE. It runs as a synth and FX AU, CLAP or FL Studio plugins on macOS (native Apple Silicon + Intel), Linux and Windows. No VST or AU support.
