Synth Tuber Florian Pilz, also known as AudioPilz, has compiled a list of the 10 scariest pieces of Bad Gear for Halloween 2025.

Okay, let’s stick with Halloween. It’s Friday, and what usually happens then? Yes, vintage and modern synths must enter the Bad Gear cave to face their reckoning. This Friday is special, though. Halloween falls on a Friday this year.

That’s why subscribers can look forward to a special episode today. Florian Pilz, also known as AudioPilz, takes viewers on a horrifying Halloween adventure of the 10 scariest pieces of Bad Gear.

Halloween! The time of jack’o’lanterns and social media creators from all over the world churning out low effort content after ordering far too much decoration from TEMU.

We – however – are going to talk about ghoulish synths delivering horrific tones, traumatizing design atrocities and UIs straight from a place where even “he-who-shall-not-be-named” doesn’t dare to look. These are the 10 Scariest Pieces of Bad Gear.

A very entertaining episode that didn’t scare me, but rather the fact that I owned one of these synths myself for some time. Happy Synth Halloween.
