Superbooth 2025: Make Noise Jumbler is a new six-by-six channel analog signal combiner and distributor module for Eurorack.
The great strength of modular synthesizers is their ability to customize the signal path completely. The oscillator doesn’t have to be in the filter; you can also put the oscillator first in a wavefolder, then in effect, and route it to the second. You have almost endless options in modular synthesis.
With utilities in the race, you can even change paths in real time. For Superbooth 2025, Make Noise has just released Jumbler, a new utility module that allows you to combine and distribute multiple signals simultaneously.
Make Noise Jumbler
Jumbler is a new 10HP creative utility module that allows you to mix and match up to six signals for up to six destinations. The Make Noise Jumbler can instantly reconfigure and jumble the routings of a patch, either manually or via voltage control, to produce variations.
It’s like a switch module but more sophisticated and fun to use. Jumbler has two distinct parameters that give you access to rearranging both origins and destinations for up to six modular signals. The Rotate control determines the order in which the one to six inputs are routed to the one to six outputs.
Then, the Radiate control sets the combinations of the inputs and outputs. Another key difference from a classic switch module is its analog-based design, which utilizes 36 VCAs. It is specially designed and tuned for smooth transitions and hybrid signals.
Like the recent complex modulator, Multimod, each output also features an LED that provides a real-time representation of the routing.
The Make Noise Jumbler is a powerful module that offers a wide range of routing manglings without requiring you to re-patch your system. You can use it for hybrid control voltage mashing, complex waveform mixing, on-the-fly effects re-routing, gate and clock re-combinations, and more.
First Impression
Jumbler is undoubtedly not one of those Make Noise modules that will cause a big stir. It’s not a new ErbeVerb or Morphene. But it is undoubtedly a handy module that opens up many new patching possibilities.
Flipping effect routings on its head, waveform mixing/morphing, etc. And all this, without rewiring the cable salad. You can do it with a twist of two knobs.
Make Noise Jumbler is available now for $259/289€
