Make Noise MultiWAVE is a new 8-channel wavetable oscillator that integrates seamlessly into the New Universal Synthesizer System (NUSS).
Following the leak of the new Make Noise MultiWAVE oscillator at various events in October, it is now officially available.
MultiWAVE is an 8-channel dual wavetable oscillator for the New Universal Synthesizer System or any Eurorack modular synth.
Make Noise MultiWAVE
As stated in the leaked information, it follows the concept of the NUSS: “from one comes many.” In this case, it generates multiple audio source outputs from a single activation. MultiWAVE uses a single set of controls to generate audio forms at eight independent channel outputs.
At the core, it’s a classic wavetable engine . Each of the eight MultiWAVE channels contains two independent wavetable oscillators, Osc A and Osc B, each loading its own wavetable with variable frequency, modulation, and wavetable position.
Each wavetable contains 64 waves, and you can store eight banks of 8 wavetables in the module. You can smoothly morph between the waveforms.
Exciting and innovative is that it can output eight different signals simultaneously, each with different behaviors. It’s like having eight wavetable oscillator modules.
Thanks to the built-in MultiMod-based LFO and independent modulation depth and shape per oscillator, you can make every channel very unique. Plus with the spread and modulation dissemination, you can have variable modulation time and depth per voice.
MultiWAVE includes an output header for creating pre-patched connections to the audio signal inputs of two QXG modules. When grouped up with PoliMATHS it creates the 8-channel core of the New Universal Synthesizer System.
Another notable, novel feature is the ability to generate polyphonic activations from monophonic sequences, utilizing modulation dissemination, span modes, spread, and accumulation. This allows you to make up to 8 channels sound different simultaneously.
There is also a built-in polyphonic quantizer, modulatable polyphonic detune, and glide.
First Impression
The more modules that come onto the market, the more exciting Make Noise’s New Universal Synthesizer System becomes.
The idea of creating multiple signals from a single starting point is an innovative and fresh concept for the Eurorack world. The MultiWAVE oscillator, in particular, demonstrates the system’s remarkable flexibility, as it provides not eight identical channels, but eight different ones.
Although Make Noise claims that the MultiWave is compatible with all Eurorack synths, I believe that the module offers the most added value and shines the most in a NUSS system.
Make Noise MultiWAVE is available now for $529/529€

The Shared System was long the flagship product of the US-based company Make Noise. The latest project from Tony Rolando and his team is called NUSS —the New Universal Synthesizer System —and pursues a new concept.
One of them is the ability to extract a maximum from a minimum amount of inputs (Multimod, PoliMATHS…). Since the beginning of 2025, they have been working on filling the NUSS with exciting modules, Multimod, Jumbler, PoliMATHS… A matching oscillator will likely be released soon, judging by the leak of the new Make Noise MultiWAVE.
Leak Information
Already in the official video for the new PoliMATHS, you could hear the new oscillator but only see it in a blur. The new Make Noise MultiWAVE has leaked at an event in the US, hosted by Control Voltage. On Modwiggler, user mdoudoroff wrote what the oscillator is capable of.
MultiWAVE is a wavetable oscillator featuring a bank of 8 dual wavetable oscillators, making it an 8-channel WT OSC. Each of the eight has an oscillator A and B side, with each own pitch input.
According to the user, it can also have one follow the other and employ various thoughtful and modulatable offset strategies. Pitch quantization is also onboard.
Talking about the wavetables. You can import custom Wave-Edit format wavetables, but unlike other available WT oscillators, it treats them as eight banks of 8. MultiWAVE offers an option to blend between oscillator A and B manually, or to do so with CV.
It also has a global glide control and unique detuning control. The exciting Span, Spread, Activate, and Accumulate parameter concepts are taken from the other modules, such as PoliMATHS, and will be introduced to the oscillator world.
The module has eight independent oscillator outputs. I’m sure these aren’t traditional outputs; instead, each can be flexibly configured, as seen with MultiMOD, PoliMATHS, etc.
The source also says it has a menu system implemented with LEDs, but no screen. You have to see how easy it is to use.
There is no official information about the Make Noise MultiWAVE yet, but you can already hear the module in the official PoliMATHS video.
Leak Impression
The New Universal Synthesizer System is fascinating and offers many innovative ideas for signal generation, routing, and processing. I’m very curious about the oscillator, too. It already sounds lovely in the linked demo.
According to the user, Make Noise MultiWAVE will be available at the end of November 2025.
