Tritik Tymee is a new free delay plugin for macOS and Windows featuring built-in filtering and downsampling.
Yesterday, BLEASS released a new delay plugin with tons of feedback-shaping possibilities. This is an interesting plugin for those who seek delays that go beyond the classics.
On the other hand, the new free delay plugin Tymee from Tritik is quite traditional but has some neat additions.
Tritik Tymee
Tymee is a new free delay plugin for macOS and Windows. It uses a 10-second delay line that is adjustable with classic delay time and feedback controls. Alternatively, Tritik Tymee offers a tap-tempo functionality to program the delay time.
Then, you can shape/colorize the delay sound in different ways. First, you have a built-in downsampler with a dedicated degrade parameter. It introduces character in the form of noisy artefacts into the delay.
Alongside the downsampler, Tymee also hosts a resonant lowpass filter with cutoff and resonance controls, allowing you to shape the delay further.
Neat, Tritik Tymee also hosts a spectrogram for real-time visualization. It’s a useful feature for daily music production tasks and educational purposes.
First Impression
This is a nice, simple, free delay plugin. It is nothing groundbreaking or super exciting, but it enriches the free plugin section. Thanks, Tritik. Don’t forget to check out the developer’s other free plugin, Krush, which is a lovely bit-crusher.
Tritik Tymee is now available for free download. It runs as a VST, VST3, AU, and AAX plugin on macOS (native Apple Silicon + Intel) and Windows.
