If you are searching for an all-in-one device, I have something for you. Thomann has an exciting deal. The Akai MPC Key 61 is available there for the first time for 1189€ instead of 1599€. A 25% discount on the keyboard workstation. That’s a great discount.

Deal Akai MPC 61 Key

The Akai MPC Key 61 brings the workflow of the MPC grooveboxes into a Synthesizer/keyboard workstation for the first time. From a technical point of view, it offers a quad-core ARM processor with 4 GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

It offers the best-known MPC I/O, including stereo input, 8 CV/gate outputs, and the ability to add more inputs and outputs using an audio interface.

Like the other MPCs, it is powered by the same MPC software. If you are already a user of MPC One or another modern MPC, you don’t need to get used to it. The workflow is the same.

The big difference is that you can play our sounds not only with the 16 RGB pads but also on a high-quality keyboard with velocity and aftertouch. This turns the device into a synthesizer/keyboard workstation.

Another difference is the built-in content. You get a larger built-in library of plugins and sounds than on the other MPCs. It features 25 different instrument plugins that are pre-installed.

You get the Fabric XL multi-layer polyphonic Synthesizer, the OPx4 FM Synthesizer, and acoustic & electromechanical instruments (Stage Piano, Session Strings, Stage EP, and Organ).

First Impression

Launched for 1999€ in June 2022. More than a year later, we are now at 1189€. In my opinion, the starting price was set too high. The MPC Key is now very well priced at this deal price and is a very good deal if you have been interested in it for a long time.

Akai MPC Key 61 is available for 1198€ instead of 1599€ (25% OFF) for a limited time at Thomann.
