Akai Pro has released Force 3.3, a new firmware update that includes three new free effects plugins, previously released for the MPC series.
Two weeks ago, precisely at the end of October, I reported on the MPC update 2.12.2. Somewhat hidden, this update came with four new free effects plugins. No innovative plugins, but very good ones that you can be very creative with.
With firmware 3.3, three of the four plugins are now available for the Akai Pro Force. Also, as a free download.

Force 3.3 update is out now and introduces three new AIR FX plugins: Vintage Filter, Chorus, and Multitap Delay. Is the AIR Expander already in the Force? Feel free to tell me in the comments.
AIR Vintage Filter is a new filter plugin with various filter types (LP, BP, HP). You can control the cutoff, resonance, fatness (distortion), and more via the Q-Links. You can also modulate it with a built-in envelope and LFO.
Then, AIR Chorus is a classic chorus effect with various controls (rate, depth, feedback, mix, pre-delay…), adding warmth and depth to your sounds and tracks.
The third and last new effect is the AIR Multitap Delay. As the name suggests, it’s a multi-tap delay with five customizable taps with individual parameters and on/off switches. You get the delay, pan, and volume per tap. Plus, there are various routing options.
Three beautiful effects for the Force. No other new features features were included. An official change log isn’t out yet, so I can’t say whether there are improvements or bug fixes.
They also don’t communicate when the Flex Beats plugin will be released for the Force. They recently published it for the MPC.
