8Dio multi-sampled the piano using two sets of microphones, giving users the flexibility to adjust the sound to their liking. The samples are embedded in a specially scripted Kontakt UI.
In this, users can sculpt the piano sound in detail. 8Dio added a variety of controls, including (ex. pedal volume, release volume, noise reduction, EQ etc), and a visual velocity editor.
Then, you can work with a nice selection of convolution reverbs and effects to add room and character to the pianos.
Plus, there is a morphing functionality, allowing you to blend different non-piano sounds (guitars, marimba, bowed percussion…) with the piano. These can be used to form unique hybrid instruments. Plus, you can work with advanced release triggers.
