Deal: Adam Audio is giving away the GForce impOSCar 2 Synthesizer plugin, an emulation of the iconic British synth OSCar to all customers.

Adam Audio is a well-known speaker and headphone manufacturer from Germany. They are not a small company. Since 2019, they have belonged to the British company Focusrite, which has synth brands like Novation, Oberheim, and Sequential in its portfolio.

The summer holidays will soon be over, and the little ones will be going back to school. Adam Audio celebrates this with their customers with a gift. They have teamed up with GForce Software to give away a license of impOSCar 2 Synthesizer to all registered customers.

The gift is available to every Adam Audio customer with a myADAM account and registered products.

impOSCar 2 is an authentic emulation of Chris Huggett’s iconic British hybrid Synthesizer OSCar. The engine consists of a mixture of classic subtractive and more esoteric additive synthesis. It features two oscillators with 13 different waveforms and an option to draw your own shapes using a programmable matrix. There are also various glide modes, portamento, PWM, and ring modulation.

You can then shape your oscillator with an advanced filter section consisting of nine filter types. From here, it goes into a chorus effect. It has two ADSR envelopes and two-syncable multi-wave LFOs on the modulation side. Additionally, you get an arpeggiator and a handy chord memory.

impOSCar 2 can be played in mono, duo, and polyphonic modes, with unison and aftertouch.

The plugin has not been updated for some time. So no Apple Silicon support, for example. But if things continue like this and GForce continues to revise its plugins, you will probably see an impOSCar 3 in the future. And with a license of v2, you will benefit from a preferential upgrade price.

To benefit from the GForce deal, you must have an Adam Audio account where your products are registered. The plugin runs as a 32-bit/64-bit VST and AU plugin on macOS (no Apple Silicon support) and Windows.

  1. That’s like a original prior to 80s synth. What happen to the Motif and Orbriam if I spelt them right and other with pre built synth sounds
