Korg NTS-2 Oscilloscope Kit is a super handy multi-function tool for synths and is available now without the BJOOKS book.

At Superbooth 22, Korg presented the NTS-2. Attention not the successor to the famous NTS-1 Synthesizer but a standalone multi-function tool including many handy features, like a four-channel oscilloscope, LFO, and more.

A tool with which you can quickly visualize your signals and get an overview. There are many oscilloscopes on the market for every budget. In the format with the range of features, however, the NTS-2 has a unique selling point.

PATCH & TWEAK with KORG

The 216-page book by BJOOKS will be sold separately from now on. Here you will find tutorials that make it easier to get started with the NTS-2. There are also sound design tips and extensive information about the ARP 2600 M, Volca Modular, MS-20 and more.

It also includes interviews with the Korg developers and musicians. Including Tatsuya Takahashi, Fumio Mieda, Dina Pearlman, David Friend (both ARP), Pete Townshend, Jean-Michel Jarre, Richard Devine, Andrew Huang, and more.

Second Impression

Even without the BJOOK book, the NTS-2 is not cheap at €199. However, if you look at alternatives from pure 1-channel oscilloscopes from China on Amazon, they can cost €50-60 if set up. In the case of the NTS-2, you get four channels, LFOs, and more in a very compact format.

Korg NTS-2 without the book is available soon for 199€.

  1. for a display stuck on a PCB DYI kit type of product the price point is very unfortunate.
Given the lack of affordable alternatives of dual channel Oscilloscopes this is a real shame. At 100 bucks i would have bought it at once
