Kontakt Factory Library 2, supercharge your Player with over 43GB sounds for 149€

SYNTH ANATOMY uses affiliation & partner programs (big red buttons) to finance a part of the activity. If you use these, you support the website. Thanks!

For a limited time, you can add the Kontakt Factory 2 library with over 43GB of sounds to your Kontakt 7 Player for 149€.

At the end of last year, Native Instruments released the Kontakt 7 Sampler, a major update for the most popular software sampler. In addition to a browser inspired by Komplete Kontrol, it offers new built-in effects (psyche delay and ring modulator from Guitar Rig 6), new time-stretching algorithm, and more. The very old-fashion looking UI has remained the same, again, unfortunately.

Factory Library 2 has also been added. Native Instruments has renewed the original library in many areas and added a lot of new content. Previously, this library was reserved exclusively for Kontakt full users. Now NI is opening this factory door to Kontakt Player users for a limited time.

Kontakt Factory Library 2

This is the first time Native Instruments has given Kontakt Player users this option. The KFL2 features over 43GB of meticulously recorded samples from nearly 900 individual instruments. The instruments are divided into seven categories virtual instruments: orchestral, acoustic, band, beat, choir, synths, and vintage.

Native Instruments has given each virtual instrument its own colorful UI to match the products in the portfolio. Each has a set of parameters with which you can tweak the sounds or the playability.

Feature Highlights

  • Orchestral was created in collaboration with Orchestral Tools: strings, woodwind, brass, and percussion from the Berlin Series.
  • Acoustic: flutes, dulcimers, recorders, bagpipes, fiddles, plus a brand-new hurdy gurdy, and a range of gongs and percussion sounds with editable MIDI patterns.
  • Band: wide range of acoustic and electronic sounds for rock, funk, jazz, or soul bands, including basses, organs, horns, e-pianos, drum kits, and more. With full control over the articulations, and play styles.
  • Beat (complete overhaul) comes with 288 pre-made grooves across 90 kits all editable in patterns and in sounds with different effects.
  • Choir collection delivers choral vocals that span the soprano, alto, tenor, and bass pitch ranges.
  • Synths packed with pads, leads, arps, and all-new soundscapes for evolving, cinematic textures.
  • Vintage: a collection of 292 deep-sampled electronic instruments (synths, drum machines…) that deliver the rich, timeless warmth of analog synthesis, tube compression, and tape saturation

First Impression

For 149€ you get a lot of high-quality sounds. However, you have to keep in mind that the full version of Kontakt normally costs 299€. That’s a difference of €150. With Kontakt 7, Factory Library 2 is already included.

Before you buy the sounds alone, you should consider Kontakt 7 directly, which opens up a completely different door to that of the factory sounds. I only say third-party developer libraries.

Kontakt Factory Library 2 is available now as a separate product for a limited time for 149€. It runs in the free Kontakt 7 Player. The new library is already included in Kontakt 7.
