HY-Plugins boosts its filter plugin to HY-Filter4 with a new big multi-effects engine and deeper modulation capabilities.
The Japanese developer HY-Plugins started with exciting Max for Live Devices a few years ago. Then he switched and brought his creative ideas into new plugins. A very welcomed move.
The HY filter recently received a V4 update with many new exciting additions.
HY-Plugins HY-Filter4
HY-Filter 4 is the next version of the well-known filter plugin from the Japanese developer HY-Plugins. Started as a simple filter, it’s now a semi-modular multi-fx plugin with tons of functionality. It features a multi-engine filter with types including state variable, 3BP, dual, Xover, formant or even resonator.
Then, next to the filter engine, you get 38 built-in effects that you can mix into the signal. You can find here an EQ, lofi, wavefolding distortion. delay, reverb. and more. T
To add movement to the effects, it also hosts an impressive modulation engine with ten different modulators. Including LFOs, 2D LFOs, randomizer, envelopes, XY pad, sequencer or a new grid sequencer. With simple drag and drop, you can route the mod signals to the parameters. Lots of modulation flexibility.
Free Version
And as always, there is also a free version of the HY-Filter4 plugin. It is a stripped down version of it with two filter engines (SVF & 3BP) and five modulator types (LFO, 2D LFO, random, env follower, and XY control). Fewer features but a solid free plugin not to be missed.
A nice update for an always improving filter plugin. Good news for all existing users: it’s a free update.
HY-Plugins HY-Filter4 is available now for an introductory price of $38 USD (reg. $55 USD) until April 15th, 2022. It runs as a VST2, VST3, and AU plugin on macOS, Linux and Windows. It’s a free upgrade for existing users of HY-Filter2/3.
