The year 2021 is almost over. Only 10 days until Christmas and 17 days until we celebrate New Year’s Eve loudly again. Of course, it is also the time of gifts. After crazy Black Friday offers, plugin manufacturers are always a bit more generous in December and like to giveaway products.
This also applies to Overloud, which is currently giving away the Gem Mod plugin for macOS and Windows for a limited time.
Overloud Gem Mod
Gem Mod is an authentic emulation of the classic Roland SDD-320 Dimension-D hardware chorus effects from the 80s. But it’s not just an 1-to-1 emulation but a further development. Overloud’s version features more controls to play that allows you fine-tune effect to your liking. You can adjust the speed, depth, shape, and amount of modulation. The latter can be synced to the tempo of your track. Very handy. Plus, all the parameters can be controlled by input envelopes, so it can react to the input signal.
The plugin also offers a reproduction of the four preset buttons including the combinations of buttons. Overloud has also added an input saturation stage for generating extra harmonics. A mix control is also onboard to adjust the amount effect in your track. The original unit was famous to be an effect than can add width to any sound. Perfect with vocals, guitar, or even synths.
Overloud Gem Mod is free again but again for a limited time. The company is giving away a maximum of 1000 free licenses per day until December 20, 2021. You need to create an account and click “download for free”.
The plugin is regularly priced $99 USD. It runs as a VST3, AU, and AAX plugin on macOS (Intel + M1) and Windows. Don’t miss this deal.
