Baby Audio uses in their new release tape emulation plugin TAIP an AI core to recreate the analog circuits even more detailed and realistic.

Artificial intelligence is indispensable in 2021. Regardless of whether it is a smartphone, computer, voice assistant … you can find AI everywhere.  The trend has also got around in the music plugin world. Many manufacturers build in artificial intelligence to make their algorithms/code more flexible and adaptable.

They are often used in plugins that automatically generate notes, beats, entire songs… or in complex analysis processes. The developers at Baby Audio have it in their new plugin too. The circuit modeling algorithm uses AI to decipher the invisible nuances of analog circuits. Sounds promising.

TAIP is a tape machine emulation of the future. Ok, future in the sense that it tries to make the emulation concept smarter and more realistic. It uses artificial intelligence at its core to make the plugin sound richer, organic, and authentic. One step closer to a hardware tape machine.

The previous Baby Audio shines with a very user-friendly interface. Control over everything, but very simple and clear. This also applies to the new TAIP plugin and it comes on top with different user interface shades including black, gray, and white. The plugin gives you control over the dry/wet mix, wear, noise, glue, presence, hi-shape, and lo-shape. You can choose between two different input levels, either normal or hot

Like any good tape emulation, TAIP also has two tapes as visualization. These give visual feedback of the strength of the effect. For an easy start, the developer ships the plugin with 135 presets from well-known music producers and audio engineers.

Yes, it is another tape emulation plugin that can ad some authentic analog head and character to your track. However, the latest Baby Audio releases have shown that they have that little bit extra. Either through a fabulous user interface, smart features… I’m pretty sure that the developers also gave their tape emulation the Baby Audio toping.

Baby Audio TAIP is available for an introductory price of $39 USD instead of $69 USD until November 1, 2021. The plugin runs as a VST, VST3, AU, and AAX plugin on Windows 7 or later and macOS 10.7+ with M1 support. The demo version is available on the website.
