Tiptop Audio introduces ZVERB, ECHOZ & Z5000, three new powerful effect modules that offer a lot on just 8HP, where the Z5000 is celebrating a comeback.
The official teaser already gave us a little preview of what Tiptop Audio will bring to the market next. Now they are out. They are three small, beautifully designed Eurorack effect modules that take up little space in your case. ZVERB is a new multi-algorithm reverb with a large selection of different reverb types from the 70s, 80s, and 90s including shimmering, feedback tunneled pitch-shifting, tape delay drivers, gated reverbs and more.
ECHOZ is a collection of 24 different types of delay effects that are split into a tape, digital and pitch bank. The Z5000, on the other hand, is making a big comeback and is a huge upgrade compared to the initially released module from 2008. It offers 24 “creme de la creme” effects including reverbs, delays, modulation, harmonization, and pitch modulated effects. All modules have three things in common, which all Eurorack will be happy about. They are only 8HP, parameters can be modulated via CV and offer analog clocking of the DSP chip. Lovely new effect modules from Tiptop Audio which would be really interesting to test.
These effects are a blend of newly developed programs and ones carefully selected from Tiptop’s library of hundreds of effects created over 10 years for the classic Z-DSP processor module. While the effects algorithms play a major role in making these modules sound impressive, an internal analog clock circuitry drives the DSP chip adds to the lush and warm audio processing. With ZVERB, ECHOZ and the Z5000, Tiptop Audio effects have never been so accessible.
TipTop Audio ZEVERB
ZVERB is a collection of all-new reverb algorithms developed by Tiptop ranging from typical reverbs to more complex effects that combine delay and pitch shifting with reverb. The effects are grouped by decades based on either the era an algorithm was introduced or the time when the effect was most popular.
This variety of reverbs covers small to epic size spaces with the addition of shimmering, feedback tunneled pitch shifting, tape delay drivers, gated reverbs and a lot more. Analog clocking of the DSP chip and CV over the parameters enables even more experimentation. This is a collection inspired by the best from the past right at your fingertips.
Tiptop Audio ECHOZ
The ECHOZ collection of 24 different types of delay effects encompasses a rich variety that spanning some of the most sought after time based effects of all times as well as more experimental options as well. The Tape bank has saturation with limiting which emulates vintage tape delays but goes even beyond the originals by cascading other effects in series such as chorus and wobbly LFO driven tape head movements.
A Digital bank starts with pristine clear digital delays and then moves to BBD emulation, diffusions, multitaps, and formant topologies. The Pitch bank is a collection of pitch-shifted delay trails with common interval structures, detuning and shimmering. All programs run on an analog clock-driven DSP for extra warmth and the ability to manipulate the effects beyond typical static delays.
Tiptop Audio Z5000, The Comeback
Back in 2008, the original Z5000 was not only the world’s first Eurorack DSP effects module but also the first Tiptop Audio module released. It brought voltage controlled digital effects to Eurorack for the first time and the Z5000 was eventually replaced by the Z-DSP open-source platform.
Now, years later with over a decade of experience developing audio effects for Eurorack signals we are introducing a totally new version of the Z5000: a compact stereo 8HP multi-effect with voltage controlled parameters, VC analog clock generator driving the DSP chip and 24 of our creme de la creme reverbs, delays, modulation, harmonization and pitch modulated effects.
A number of programs in the Z5000 combine more than one effect, in series or parallel, that represent studio techniques from the early days till modern times often leaning toward the more experimental side.
Tiptop Audio ZVERB, ECHOZ & Z5000 effect modules are available soon, $199 USD each module

Huge fail making them mono in stereo out. Tired of seeing modules that dictate an inflexible place in the routing chain.
