New Sweetwater leak! Novation’s upcoming new product is a new full featured MIDI controller keyboard/poly sequencer for virtual instruments, MIDI gear and analog gear!

Some creators have recently been invited to London to see a new secret Novation product. Many have speculated what will come and also the date 10 of October is in the rumours. Now Sweetwater seems to be the culprit again. Having already shown the Moog One Synthesizer, they are now showing a new Novation controller that will compete with Native Instruments Komplete or AKAI Advance series.

The name of the product is SL MkIII series and is a keyboard that offers intelligent control over your DAW, virtual instruments, MIDI gear an even analog gear that use CV/gate signal. It will come with several continuous encoders, sliders, and more. Beside this, it feature an 8-track polyphonic pattern sequencer that is built-in the device. You can also see that the keyboard comes in two versions on the market: a 49 and 61 keys.

It seems like the controller is designed for Ableton Live what we can red in the Sweetwater catalogue. It will be interesting to see how easy musicians can control VST’s with it, if we need a special software for it, what we can do with the sequencer… My expectations are high for this release because it will be not a cheap controller for everyone.

The Novation SL-mk3-49 and 61 will be available soon for a price of $599,99 USD respectively $699.99 USD.
