Yamaha’s newest mid-range Synthesizer keyboard workstation MODX has leaked and will probably replace the best-known MOXF series.
The summer holidays are over and slowly big music tech companies are coming back from their holidays. After Native Instruments has already presented 9 new products and Roland has announced news for this week, now also a new Yamaha Synthesizer has been spotted. If we can trust the leak, Yamaha is about to introduce a mid-range Synthesizer keyboard workstation called MODX that will probably replace the MOXF series. From the first look, it can be described as a stripped down version of their flagship Synthesizer MONTAGE.
The new MODX from Yamaha could be in my opinion a great new Synthesizer because it has many features of the MONTAGE but for less money: AVM2 sample & synthesis engine, FM-X synth engine (8 operator), LCD-touchscreen, Waveform-ROM, seamless sound switching for performance with up to four parts, 10,239 arpeggios, master keyboard functions, multi-channel USB audio interface and powerful Super Knob.
If you are interested in the MONTAGE but don’t have the budget, the MODX can be a very good and affordable alternative. Since different retailers already list the keyboard, the complete feature set is also leaked.
