UVI released a major update for Falcon Sampler. Update 1.1 brings a lot of new features ,, new presets, enhanced oscillators, MPE device support and bug fixes. The update is free of charge downloadable from your user account.
What’s new?
Falcon 1.1 increases the factory library with 100 new presets providing users with even more production-ready sounds out of the box. The update debuts ‘Thorus’, an innovative 8-voice chorus effect specially designed to reduce artifacts for astonishing depth and clarity.
Thorus’s variable voice architecture and intuitive controls provide rich and dynamic textures beyond the scope of traditional chorus effects. In addition, two new rack FX have been added including MaxMS, a mid- side maximizer, and Fuzz4, a multi-band distortion effect.
Major enhancements have been made to the FM and Pluck oscillators, further extending Falcon’s synthesis capabilities. The FM oscillator has been redesigned with new controls per-operator including a fixed frequency toggle (Hz mode), fine ratio control (operates as a frequency multiplier in Hz mode), phase start control and harmonic snap mode.
The Pluck oscillator has been updated with extended sample controls including Start Time, Detune and Key Follow, the Noise section now includes a Sustain Mode and the String section a stereo mode.
Lastly, support has been added for MPE devices such as the Roli Seaboard and LinnStrument allowing Falcon to take full advantage of their advanced expressive capabilities. Users will also find dedicated MPE presets in the updated Falcon factory soundbank.
These enhancements continue to increase the power and versatility of Falcon, UVI’s flagship hybrid instrument, providing users with unrestricted layering of oscillators, effects, modulation sources and event processors for a truly unlimited sound design experience. Falcon offers native 64-bit operation in stand-alone and plug-in formats, provides native surround sound support, is compatible with all UVI powered soundbanks, and allows simultaneous authorization on up to 3 computers of iLok keys.
