AudioThing Space Trip, a modular multi-FX processor plugin, is now available for macOS, Linux, Windows, and iOS.
In recent years, AudioThing has brought many of its popular desktop plugins to iOS/iPadOS, significantly enhancing the quality of mobile production.
The porting adventure is far from over. Space Trip is the latest well-known AudioThing plugin available for iOS mobile devices. To celebrate this release, the desktop version is now on 68% OFF.
AudioThing Space Trip
Space Trip is an easy-to-use, modular effects plugin structured like a channel strip. There are six modules: contour, vibe, slapback, ambience, ensemble, and stereo. Plus, there is a master section.
Each strip contains an independent effect with just a few parameters and with an option to activate/deactivate them. A key feature is the ability to customize the channel strip with a simple drag-and-drop.
Contour is a 2-band EQ with controls over the highs and lows. Then, vibe is a stereo vibrato FX that you can modify in its depth, rate, and spread.
Slapback is a short-echo module with three controls: level, delay (30-300ms), and spread. The latter gives you three echo modes: mono, stereo, or wide.
Next to this is the ambience module, which uses a short reverb with three adjustable parameters: level, size, and damping. Also onboard is a multi-voice chorus, aka Ensemble, with controls for amount, depth, and stereo spread.
There is also a stereo module that allows you to manipulate the stereo image with two simple controls: side level and mono bass.
Further, you have a master section where you can adjust the gain and the mix. The latest desktop update also added a stere correlation meter.
First Impression
Yes, Space Trip is an older FX plugin; more precisely, it was released in 2016. Although it’s aged, it’s still a great-sounding multi-FX that works well with synths and keyboard sounds. Also good to see that it’s now available for iOS.
AudioThing Space Trip is available now at a special price of $ 19/$19€ instead of $ 59/$59€. It runs as a VST, VST3, AU, and AAX plugin on macOS (native Apple Silicon + Intel), Linux, and Windows.
The new iOS version is out now, $7,99 on the Apple AppStore and runs as a standalone app and AUv3 plugin on iPhones and iPads.
