Aodyo synth company is back, and the new owner, INODESIGN, plans to continue the halted projects with close communication with the backers.
Two days ago, I reported that the French company Aodyo, which had failed after two Kickstarter/Indiegogo projects (Anyma Omega, Loom), was acquired by another French company, INODESIGN.
Now the new owner, Mickael Coronado, has contacted the Kickstarter backers and explained the situation and what will happen next.
The good news: the Aodyo synth company is back, and they will continue and finalize the projects with their own team.
Aodyo INODESIGN
Mickael Coronado of INODESIGN shared this on Kickstarter:
An innovation story that wasn’t meant to end there.
A few years ago, we were neighbours at La Ruche in Villeneuve d’Ascq. Two teams, two visions, but the same passion: developing French electronics. Laurent Pouillard and his team were creating the Sylphyo, that unique electronic wind instrument. On my side, I was building Inodesign on the conviction that we could produce cutting-edge electronics in France.
Our paths separated geographically, but the admiration remained.
When I learned about Aodyo’s liquidation, one thing became clear: this innovation could not disappear.
What Aodyo represents
Aodyo is 10 years of R&D on innovative musical instruments technologies. It’s a team that never stopped innovating, driven by the passion of bringing sound to life. It’s also thousands of musicians and backers who believed in this vision.
Why this acquisition makes sense
Our technical complementarity is real. Our 12 electronic engineers will be able to develop Aodyo’s innovations further, particularly in touch and sensor technologies. By controlling both R&D and production under the same roof, we can resume and adapt instrument manufacturing to our production facility. Our Made in France model without subcontracting, which has convinced OVHCloud and other partners, will enable us to industrialise these innovations.
But beyond industrial synergies, it’s a conviction. Saving an innovative company in our Hauts-de-France region means preserving unique expertise. It also means honouring the work of a team that fought to push the boundaries of electronic music.
To Aodyo campaign backers
I understand your disappointment. Legally, we are not required to deliver to you. But morally, we owe it to you to find solutions.
Concrete proposals will be made to you in the coming months. We plan to set up a platform for exchanges with you in the coming weeks to explore together how to get the projects back on track. Please feel free to send us your suggestions.
I was impressed by the Loom project when my teams started working on it alongside Aodyo in 2024. Music is not my core business, but I intend to surround myself with the necessary expertise to meet musicians’ expectations and remain attentive to their needs.
There are many projects to restart. Things will be conducted step by step, consolidating as we go to ensure the long-term viability of the projects.
The entrepreneurial journey is a constant challenge. Sometimes we fail, sometimes we bounce back. Today, we are enabling Aodyo’s innovation to bounce back.
Because French innovation is worth fighting for.
It’s great to hear that the projects will continue. Inodesign is currently looking for ways to satisfy the Aodyo Kickstarter/Indiegogo backers. They want to be in contact with these backers to explore the possibilities.
According to this release, concrete proposals will be made to you in the coming months. As someone who was harmed by this campaign as well, I will also participate in these discussions and am curious to see where this all leads. Stay tuned for more updates.
Article from November 20, 2025
Over a year ago, more precisely in October 2024, it was announced that the French company Aodyo was ceasing operations. Even though more than 350.000€ was raised through two Kickstarter campaigns (Anyma Omega, Loom), both projects couldn’t be financed. Hundreds of backers were left empty-handed, including me.
The insolvency proceedings ended up in a Paris court, where a decision was reached in the summer of 2025. INODESIGN, a French investment firm, acquired the remaining assets of Aodyo Instruments.
Kickstatrter Info
Yesterday afternoon (EU time), Laurent Pouillard, the former CEO of AODYO SAS, posted on Kickstarter about the current state of affairs.
Just some news about what happened after the liquidation of AODYO Instruments at the end of October 2024.
I wouldn’t get back here to the reason why I fail to deliver the perks to our contributors and keep my company up and running.
According to Laurent Pouillard, the lengthy communication stop is not the company’s fault but a court decision, not allowing them to disclose any information from these proceedings:
During the Safeguard period from June to October 2024, I did all I could to find new investors or sell the company to avoid the bankruptcy and wasn’t allowed by the court to disclose any detail about this process.
My main goal during the months following the company liquidation was to help the court-appointed liquidator in the process of selling the assets of AODYO with the idea in mind that it would still be possible to transmit the results of the work achieved during the 10 years of AODYO existence to avoid all this to be just lost.
After lengthy negotiations, a buyer has been found for the company. Mickael Coronado of the French INDODESIGN investor group has purchased the remaining AODYO assets. A new AODYO SARL has already been founded.
INDODESIGN GROUP
Dear backers,
This process took significant time but finally lead this summer to the sale of AODYO assets to Mickael Coronado investment company. The last months were dedicated to the transmission of AODYO SAS assets to the new AODYO SARL company he founded.
Mickael and his company, INODESIGN were a long-term partner of AODYO Instruments. INODESIGN was the engineering office who designed all the electronic boards built-in our instruments.
Through the last decade INODESIGN also grew up to become a significant electronic subassembly manufacturer. Now the future of AODYO Instruments is in his hands, and I trust him to make great things out of it.
I will provide Mickael the access to the Aodyo Kickstarter page, so that he can provide news to all of you.
This scenario seems a bit familiar. It strongly reminds me of when the Chinese company ALLTRONICS bought Modal Electronics. It’s the company that manufactures the synths. In this case, it’s the PCB designer for their hardware products.
The last two sentences of the shared information give me some hope that the development will continue and that the Kickstarter supporters will receive something in the future.
So the company is now under new ownership. I hope the new owner, Mickael Coronado, will announce his plans for AODYO, including whether he intends to bring on Kickstarter backers and deliver a product in the future.
A spark of hope has returned. I’ll keep you updated on how things develop.

How about the Indiegogo backers? I paid for this synth there and I can’t read Kickstarted thread.
I don’t have access to it but this is the entire Kickstarter post
that sucks. i have paid for a Bob Moog movie and they still have Not Finished it because of Money Problems.
Ah, such great news!
the codebase is the value here. what are plans for that?
did you read the statement? they want to bring the Kickstarter projects back on tracks, means they finish them.
I was waiting for improvement of the Sylphyo, which is still the best MIDI controller. Forget about synth, there are too many of them on the market, and Anyma was not suitable for wind instruments. Collect info from EWI users. They wanted better mouthpiece, octave control, better quality of plastic … There are many EWIs on the market but noon is as good as my old Sylphyo.
