Superbooth 2025 is in full swing. This year, there are countless new Eurorack modules. Also, the UK-based developer RYK Modular has a very interesting new module.

RYK Modular Time Slice
Time Splice is a new 26HP 4-channel in/out audio looper for Eurorack with big rolling buffers for each channel. RYK Modular has a classic and a more modern looper side.
It offers classic vintage-style pitch shifters to keep the playback speed of each track in time and three flavors of filters (bandpass, lowpass, highpass) to mangle and recycle your audio in real-time.
Then, it offers looping options with independent lengths for each loop, scanning manually or via CV, and reversing. There is also an ability to recycle the cycle with buffers for delay lines. It’s neat that you can change the delays without involving artifacts.
Other features are:
- unique retrospective loop mode for the performance-challenged musician.
- get complex and cross-patch between buffer channels for deep spaghetti-time wormholes.
- more jacks than you can shake a stick at, to trigger or modulate anything you care to automate.
- not Swiss made, but keeps impeccable time, and can play friends with MIDI and clock-sync.
- includes exciting funky red circle display thing at no extra cost, and big scrolling dial knob.
- USB load / save audio buffers and settings.
- large buffers minutes per channel.
- dimensions: 26 HP wide, 25 mm deep.
First Impression
A very interesting audio looper for Eurorack. It’s a shame it’s only for four mono tracks, not stereo. But you can combine the four into two stereo tracks.
RYK Modular Time Slice is expected to be released in Autumn 2025 with a price of €470 / $535 (+Tax where applicable).
