Rigid Audio Interference is an advanced drum and loop sequencer virtual instrument for Kontakt 7 (full) and is now freeware.
In the past few weeks, Rigid Audio has re-released some of its Kontakt libraries as freeware, including Cinematrix, Synferno, and Stompbox.
Today, the next library follows this path. Interference is now also available as a free download.
Rigid Audio Interference
Interference is a virtual instrument for Kontakt 7.2.0 (full) powered by an advanced drum and loop sequencer engine.
It consists of four time-stretching loop engines and four drum and percussion parts, which can be programmed, played, and mixed all individually. The library ships with two times 400 categorized loops and 1130 drum, percussion, and noise sounds.
Interference features three dedicated pages for editing: A main page where the user has a quick overview of what is going on, a more detailed edit page for access to all parameters, and an options page for per-preset preferences.
Each part is fully customizable with various editing tools, including pitch, pan, and volume controls, as well as more creative elements like filters, delay-based effects, and three send effects, including a disturb FX.
That’s not all! Each Interference engine can also be modulated via a built-in modulation engine and tables. You can access 43 modulation targets that are useable at the same time.
Then, Rigid Audio Interference offers an advanced arpeggiator with four different harmonizing modes, and free step lengths for each note can be used to vary loops in exciting ways. You can also modulate nearly every parameter externally using the modulation wheel.
Good: Interference comes with NKS support for users of Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol and Maschine controllers.
Thanks, Rigid Audio, for this gift.
Rigid Audio Interference is now available for free download. It requires the Kontakt 7.2.0 full version and is not compatible with the free version.

Sure you could get fantastic results, but no matter how spectacularly capable these software instruments are – opening and operating .. man those GUIs are daunting. I guess professionals soldier through. You’ll have more fun with a duck and a delay pedal 🙂
