In November 2023, Roland released the Fantom EX, a paid upgrade ($199) for the Fantom series that completely revamped the synth workstation, including ACB technology. The hardware revision came in April. Apart from the pre-installed EX upgrade and EX lettering, nothing has changed.

Now, the last Fantom units without EX must leave the warehouse. Thomann has also significantly reduced the price of the Fantom 6 and Fantom 7 for its birthday sale.

Deal Roland Fantom 6 & Fantom 7

Roland has officially discontinued the Fantom 6 and 7 and replaced them with the 6 and 7 EX. But since it’s only a software upgrade, the older units are not old synths at all.

Thomann is currently offering the Fantom 6 for 1798€ instead of 2727€ (34% OFF) and the Fantom 7 for 1998€ instead of 2993€ (+/- 34% OFF). These are already significant price reductions.

If you add the EX software upgrade (222€), you get the Fantom 6 + EX for 2020€ and the Fantom 7 + EX for 2220€. 

For comparison: the new Fantom 6 EX costs 3999€ and the Fantom 7 EX 4199€ at Thomann. That’s almost double for the same product. This is a big deal, especially if you want to purchase a Fantom.

If that isn’t a deal then I don’t know what is. It’s an even bigger one when you compare the price with EX installed with the new Fantom EX series. It’s almost double. If you want a Fantom, you should grab this deal. It won’t get any cheaper.
