Acustica Audio is giving away Pumpkin, a free saturation plugin with a built-in EQ, as a free download for Halloween 2023.
Happy Halloween 2023. The day and night of horror. For many developers, this is also the day when they give away free plugins.
This afternoon, Arturia released Analog Lab Play, a free synth plugin. Also, Acustica Audio has something to give away on this special day.
Acustica Audio Pumpkin
Pumpkin is a free download for Halloween 2023. It’s a single-stage saturation plugin with various saturation types supported by other interesting sound shapers.
For example, it includes real-time controls and a classic EQ with low and high band manipulation for shaping the tone. There are also four analog sampled models, a useful visualization display, and a high-quality oversampling mode. Plus, it offers different listening modes (Δ, LR, M, S).
The registration is done via the Acustica Aquarius desktop app where you can download and update the plugin. In this, you can also find other freebies. But be warned. The app is currently very slow and everything takes a little longer. I think this is due to the high demand for the plugin.
First Impression
It looks like an interesting quality saturation plugin. And of course you can’t have enough free plugins anyway, hehe.
Acustica Audio Pumpkin is available now as a free download until November 5, 2023. It runs as a VST, AU, and AAX plugin on macOS (native Apple Silicon + Intel) and Windows.
