2Rule TugGlicento is a free glitch multi-effects processor plugin with 5 effect sequencing lines for macOS and Windows
Last year in September, 2Rule published its Tuglicento, a powerful free glitch multi-effects processor plugin. Not only with many effects but also deep modulation options that go in the direction of a Sugar Bytes Effectrix but for free.
The developer has published version 3.0 with new features and improvements, making it even better.
TugGlicento V3 now comes with automation for all effect parameters allowing to make wilder sounds. There is also a new distortion rack ready to explore as, and the automation lines now include new presets.
Besides this, the distortion and decimeter now offer a lowpass filter. The built-in comb-filters, tremolo, and other effects now also benefit from additional parameters. Sounds like an impressive free update for the TugGlicento effects processor.

With the 2RuleSynth, the young developer 2Rule released an exciting free synthesizer plugin last year. Exciting because this surprised me with a very own, somewhat strange sound that I didn’t expect.
Today the developer is back with another free plugin. This time an experimental effect plugin that promises glitch effects.
2Rule TugGlicento
TugGlicento is a new glitch multi-effects processor that can play multiple effects simultaneously. The concept of the plugin is very reminiscent of commercial releases like Sugar Bytes Effectrix or illformed Glitch 2.
It divides your audio signal into 5 bands. Each band features a multimode Moog Ladder-style filter (lowpass, bandpass, and highpass) with a dedicated ADSR envelope and syncable LFO. In the step you can send an effect to the band.
TugGlicento has a wide range of different built-in effects, including reverb, delay, chorus, decimator, distortion, phaser, pitch shifter, comb filter, repeater, vibrato, tremolo, and ring modulator.
Each effect has various parameters to adjust the timbres. For example, the reverb with room, damp, wet, dry, and width settings. Then, you can choose how these are used. You can either tweak them manually, like classic effects, or animate them with the five sequencers.
Each sequencer line can have variable beats (steps), speed, and duration. This allows to create very complex and versatile rhythmic effects. These goes from subtle changes to the desired glitch effects that the plugin promises in the headline. For each line, you also get dedicated volume and pan controls.
Besides, ready-to-use presets, 2Rule also has a built-in randomizer per band with which you can generate fast, randomly based results with one click. A nice source of inspiration for new ideas.
At first glance, it looks like an exciting sequencing multi-effects plugin. From the features, it could be a no-brainer alternative to Effectrix and other sequencing effects.
2Rule TugGlicento is available now as a free download and runs as a VST3 plugin on macOS and Windows.

This looks great, but heads up if you’re on a newer Mac OS this plugin will not pass security and allow to be run without a SUDO terminal command. I’m trying to decide if this is too much of a risk for me.
