At Superbooth 21, Klavis introduced Tweakers a new dual-channel mixer/splitter, and Two Bits, a slim dual logic module with 15 different functions.
The Superbooth 21 was once again the event for new Eurorack modules. Also, Klavis from Belgium with chief developer Eric was this year at SB.
No drum module but two smart helpers for your rack. Eric describes them as “small simple things”. I would add: small simple things with tons of functionality.
Klavis Tweakers / Two Bits
Tweakers is a compact, analog dual-channel mixer/splitter module. Both channels are identical and offer inputs/outputs, gain control, and an offset with polarity option. If you put the switch in the middle it mutes the signal. The latter can be audio or CV sources so you combine it with modulation modules. The normalization of the inputs makes it possible to use Tweakers as a signal mixer or splitter.
Two Bits is a simple logic module with two independent sections. Each section has two inputs (A/B), an output, and an inverted one. They give you in total 15 different logic functions including CV-controlled random, pulse length, clock multiplier, delay, and more. An effective module to make CV signals much more complex and versatile. Plus, you can chain the channels together and create a virtual third channel.
At first glance, two very helpful, slim utility modules for every Eurorack system. The Klavis Two Bits looks very tempting because it offers a lot and takes up little rack space.
The new Klavis modules premiered at Superbooth 21. Two Bits will be around 130€ and Tweakers less than 80€. Release date TBA.
