Puremagnetik Partikl is a new highly experimental plugin that is based on a granular processor and delay effect that allows you to shape incoming audio in new ways.

A while ago, the experimental plugin market was enriched by Puremagnetik, a manufacturer known for Ableton Live packs. How they sell the plugin is, however, different. They publish a new plugin every month as part of their Spark subscription. It costs $9 per month and later $20 as a normal purchase. With the annual sub, you get every month a sound design-oriented plugin. The plugin belongs to you afterward without paying any further fees.

This month, they release Partikl, a versatile plugin that combines a granular delay and temporal shifting that can manipulate audio in a very unique way. The engine relies on a granular processor that can chop, pitch shift, time stretch, and reorganize incoming audio. You can animate the granular engine with LFO and random functions.  A variable delay line adds extra space and subtle nuances to the effect.
