Back at Superbooth 2018, Behringer surprised the communities with the new Odyssey, an analog clone of the ARP Odyssey but with new features (FX processor, sequencer, LED’s…) Today, the company has announced that the Odyssey is now in pre-production and they will start soon to produce it. At SuperBooth 2018, Behringer unveiled the ODYSSEY Synthesizer, an analog clone of the duophonic ARP Odyssey. Compared to the ARP Odyssey FS from KORG, Behringer’s version comes with LED illuminated knobs, a complete MIDI In/Out interface as well as many built-in digital effects.
Now 4 months have passed and the first beta units have landed. I have the chance to test it and here is my first sound demo of the Odyssey that gives you an idea how it sounds. Availability or price are to be announced.
