New Eogist for iPad update brings AUv3 and iCloud Drive support but removes the Audiobus & Inter-App Audio technologies!
For some time, Sugar Bytes has been updating its apps with AUv3. Turnado multi-effects and Cyclop Synthesizer have been updated already, now it’s time for Egoist. The Berlin based company released today a big update that enlarge the possibilities of this app. It features now AUv3 as well as iCloud Drive support.
Unfortunately, the Audiobus and Inter-App Audio technologies has been removed, which means the app can only be used with AUv3.
Overview
Egoist is a groove instrument. Load any audio file and squeeze the groove out of it! Try your mp3 library and use it as a sound source! The additional onboard bass, beat and fx units make Egoist the perfect track sketch tool in the studio and on the road.

(Attention: Please be aware that with this update already existing Inter-App Audio and Audiobus sessions won’t work anymore!) We decided to drop native Audiobus and Inter-App Audio support and focus on what we think is the future for iOS. Thanks to AUv3 you now have a plugin interface that offers you the most features currently available.
No longer switch between apps or rely on work-around solutions with extra steps and messy MIDI problems. Simply run Egoist within your favourite iOS DAW just like you would on desktop. Go wild running multiple instances, record parameter changes in real time and automatically save/restore Egoist’s state within the host app.

Through iCloud, you’ll be able to share your saved presets across multiple devices including your desktop computer.
