One can actually be glad that we have platforms such as Kickstarter or Indiegogo where music developers can collect money to develope/produce their projects. One of these developers is Gilles Lacaud who worked for some months/years already on his HANSY1010 Synthesizer, a compact hybrid Synthesizer that combines powerful digital and analog technologies.
Modern Digital & Versatile Oscillators
HANSY1010 doesn’t limit the engine to standard waveforms but use digital variable sample frequency oscillators that can produce basic waveforms like saw/sine/triangle/square/PWM but also more complex waves like the MKS, PRO2, PSAW, SAWSQUARE, TRISQUARE.
That’s not all there because HANSY1010 has also a build-in SD card with an additional wave bank of 4300 wavetables (electric piano, organ sound… but also some wave from old Synthesizers). More interesting becomes the engine with two wave-shapers that opens the world of sound design. First, you can make Vector synthesis between 4 waves from the SD cards, a synth technic best-known from the Sequential Circuits Prophet VS. Beside this, HANSY1010 features also phase distortion synthesis. In this case the waveform is not the signal generate but the speed at which a sine is read. If you push the speed you can generate some false resonance.
This is rounded off with one sub oscillator (sine/tri/saw/square/pulse1/pulse2/pulse3) per OSC that features several additional features to combine them together (ADD/MULTIPLY/XOR/ENTERLACE).
Filter – The Analog Part Of The HANSY1010
HANSY1010’s digital oscillator core, based on two oscillators is than routed to one 4 pole analog filter that offers interesting timbres. The filter can be also further manipulated with LFO’s, envelopes and more.
A Complete Arsenal Of Modulation Features
Although HANSY1010 is a relatively small Synthesizer, it offers many features of larger instruments. Above all, the users or sound designers have a good range of modulation options available. 3 LFO’s with different waveforms (sine/tri/saw/inv/random/lag) & sync options as well as 4 envelopes (ADSR) with positive and negative amount is included in the engine.

Also interesting is a 4 position joystick that can be mapped to different parameters (velocity, aftertouch, pitch bend…) and gives you a lot of expression possibilities.
